I have to waste a post on something I don't like? A meme is a harsh master. I suppose the top candidate would be Big Brother for starting off all the reality TV shows and not even being an actual talent context or something where there's a point to anything# other than, well, voyeurism that sends me back to watch

Columbo? Really? I don't think I've ever seen an entire episode...

It's one of those things my Dad used to watch. So we children tagged along, much too young to get any of it, and get scared by strange things. :lol:

See, I rather like Columbo (the original 70s run, not the inferior 80s-90s TV movies), and yet I know exactly what you mean. There's something a little bit sinister about him, isn't there, even when he's clowning about? I think he's probably a Time Lord...

You know what this means? *Now* at least one of us has a Columbo crossover in his/her head.

Mind, I wonder what was so dreadful about the one with Johnny Cash?? Or if it was actually one I have bad memories about a woman and a car crash or somethinG??

iirc, Johnny Cash played a villainous Country singer (so, stretching his acting muscles) who decided to murder his wife and girlfriend-on-the-side simultaneously by drugging them while he was flying them in a plane from one place to another, then _parachuting_ out of the plane and letting it crash

It's scaring me just reading that. Don't tell me Columbo plots! Half-remembered childhood nightmares are coming back to me... And, um, guessing the murderer? I know Columbo's the one where we see the murder and know who did it all the way through!

I did say I couldn't watch it, didn't I?
