As the six Agents finished tying Morpheus down to the chair, they quietly stood back, along with the three soldiers. Smith approached closer to Morpheus and was about to talk when he swiflty turned his head around.
"What are you staring at?" he yelled. "Get out of here. Bring me the workstation and the syringe."
As the Agents and soldiers left the vault, Smith looked back down at Morpheus and removed his earpiece and sunglasses.
"I'd like to share a revelation that I've had during my second time here," Smith started calmly, clearly pronouncing each syllable. "I can't get out, Morpheus. It seems that I just can't! Something happened. We were just a few minutes away from throwing Zion back into oblivion. And then something happened. Something that reloaded the Matrix again. They've made peace...The mere thought of such an incongruous concept could hardly make sense for Smith. But it explained why the Agents didn't try to capture or even noticed Morpheus earlier that day, in the Grand Central Terminal. It explained why everything in the Matrix code was so different, geared towards peaceful cohabitation rather than warmongering. It explained why the Agent programme seemed to have been re-written with a defensive rather than aggressive, proactive purpose. It explained why his own code, although similar to the new Agent programme code, was not allowed to access Zero One's mainframe, which carefully filtered and ( ... )
