Come and get me--or help me-- (Police, gods, open)

No matter if she was human or not, Trinity knew that she would most likely be dead in a matter of hours if her plan didn’t work. And yet, she still kept typing on the keyboard. Algorithmic threads flooded her screen and she concentrated on breaking them and typing faster than the security patches could to keep up with the destruction she was sowing. It was the ugliest hack that she ever did in the Matrix. Leaving the system in shambles she had only one thing to do to ensure that she wouldn’t get caught by the police. She looked at the cursor flicking on the screen, any other time she would cover her tracks. Not this time. Leaving her digital tags all over the cracked codes she waited.

Come on. Catch me. It’s the only way...come on. Before the FBI emblem even came up on her screen, freezing her system, she heard them in the distance. Sirens wailed, racing to make their way to her. Instead of running she sat very still with her hands lightly resting on the keyboard. She stared ahead at the wall hoping, for the first time, that system agents would show up as well. For the first time she needed the system. It was the only way she figured that she could get any information on what happened to her and whether the nightmares she was having were actually more then bad dreams. Red lights bounced off the windows of the warehouse. She wondered how many cops she would have to plow through before agents showed up. She wondered if the agents would even bother to stop shooting at her long enough for her to strike some sort of devil’s bargain.

The door splintered as they hammered it down with a battering ram. A sea of heavy footsteps cascaded into the building and ran up the stairs. Trinity remained perfectly still.
