When Miroku opened his eyes again, he was surrounded. His hands were tied from the back. He could barely move. He looked at all the men, hatred in his eyes. Almost immediately he recognized the room he was in. Then, someone in front of him promptly cleared his throat. Miroku turned. It was Shuji’s uncle. The old man was smiling at him, victoriously, Ito was right behind him
“Well, well, if it isn’t Miroku-chan.”
Miroku glared at the old man. He hated him more than he ever hated anyone before. He didn’t say anything back, not wanting to give the other any pleasure of what he might say. The other continued to have a smug smile on his face as he looked at Miroku.
“I thought I told you to never see my nephew,” the graying man’s cold voice hit Miroku, “I thought I sent you away.”
Miroku kept his mouth shut. He sent death glares towards the old man and his followers. The smile dropped from the other’s face.
“You think you’re so smart burning down my warehouse, did you really believe you’ll get away with it?” the man’s icy glare collided with Miroku’s.
“Shuji won’t fall for your trap,” Miroku growled, “He’d never step foot into this building. Not after what happened!”
“You think so?” the smile returned, “That’s so sweet, but he’ll back come.”
Then, Ito snapped his fingers. Two men behind Miroku picked him up. The red hair tried to push them away, but their grip was too strong. He kept his eyes locked on the old man.
“You’ll never get Shuji back! He isn’t a puppet! He’ll never come back here!”
The old man shook his head, chuckling, “I’ve always admired your confidence, Miroku-chan, but your mind is too weak.”
Miroku let out a yell, cursing the old man. The other continued to chuckle. As the door closed and the red hair disappeared from his sight, he turned to Ito.
“Keep an eye out.”
Ito nodded and led the rest of the men out of the room.

As Jin walked inside the apartment, he heard Shuji and Kazuya talking. He kicked off shoes at the entrance and walked inside. Kazuya saw him first and smiled at Shuji.
“See? They’re back. You can relax now.”
Shuji sighed, turning towards Jin. Then, he began to frown when he noticed the Miroku was nowhere around Jin. Kazuya tilted his head, his eyebrows narrowed when he noticed as well.
“Where’s Miroku?” Shuji asked.
“I thought he already came back,” Jin answered honestly.
“What?!” Shuji began to panic. He ran to the window and looking out for Miroku.
“Did he tell you he was going home?” Kazuya asked.
Jin shook his head, “I stepped in a conbini for a few minutes. Then, he was gone.”
“Why didn’t you look for him?!” Shuji exclaimed, “You know my uncle’s men are looking for us!”
“I’m sorry, I assumed that he got bored from waiting and walked home,” Jin replied, “I didn’t know the Yakuza would walk around in broad daylight in a shopping district.”
“Then you know nothing!” Shuji glared at Jin.
He rushed to the front door. Jin’s and Kazuya’s footsteps followed his. There was only one thing on his mind, which was to find Miroku as fast as possible. He grabbed his jacket and slipped it on.
“Where are you going?” Kazuya asked quickly.
“Where do you think?” Shuji replied.
“You can’t go looking for Miroku, Shuji!” Jin said, “If your uncle catches you-”
“I don’t care!” Shuji exclaimed, “I don’t care!”
“Miroku can handle himself, Shuji,” Kazuya told him, “I’m sure he’ll return soon. You leaving is more dangerous than Miroku staying out.”
Shuji sighed, “….I guess you’re right.”
Kazuya nodded, “Let’s make dinner now. I’m getting hungry.”
“Why don’t you just heat up the instant ramen?” Jin shrugged; in return he received two glares.
“Go,” Kazuya smiled at Shuji, “I’ll be right there.”
Shuji took off his jacket and walked to the kitchen, leaving Kazuya and Jin alone. Just then, the doorbell rang. Kazuya nudged towards the door, gesturing for Jin to get it. Jin rolled his eyes and opened the door. Two annoying grins met his eyes. Kazuya peeked behind him, he gasped in surprise when he saw their guests.
“Koki! Yuichi! What are you doing here?”
“We wanted to see you,” Koki answered, still grinning, “do you mind, Akanishi?”
They waited for Jin to step aside before going inside. Kazuya quickly pulled them into the apartment and smiled back. Kazuya led them to the kitchen, where Shuji already was setting up to make curry. The TaNaka duo sat by the table as Kazuya got his old apron out.
“You do want to eat with us? Shuji and I were just about to make some curry,” Kazuya asked.
“Sure!” Koki exclaimed while Yuichi continued to smile.
“I’ll put more rice in the pot then,” Shuji weakly smiled towards Kazuya.
“Is there a reason for your visit?” Jin spoke up.
“Jin!” Kazuya looked at him in shock.
“What? I’m just asking,” Jin replied, “They don’t usually come over unless it’s something serious.”
Kazuya glared at him, about to say something back when Koki cleared his throat. Yuichi swallowed hard, anxiously looking between Koki and Kazuya. The youngest of the four tilted his head, waiting for his friends to speak.
“We saw your father,” Koki said, “He came to Yuichi’s work.”
“Why?” Kazuya’s eyebrows furrowed.
“Don’t know….He asked about you, though,” Yuichi added.
“Was this the first time?” Kazuya asked.
They both nodded.
“After two years?” Kazuya mumbled, “Why now?”
“Maybe he wants to make amends with you,” Shuji suggested hastily.
“HA!” Jin exclaimed, “That man is not one to make amends with people. I doubt he even knows that word. He would never admit he was wrong, let alone apologize for it.”
“Jin!” Kazuya hissed.
“You know I’m right,” Jin continued, “No matter how hard I tried, he always looked down on me. He tried everything to get you away from me.”
“He’s still my father, Jin,” Kazuya said.
“We just wanted to let you know,” Yuichi said quickly.
“Thank you,” Kazuya smiled, avoiding Jin’s annoyed look.
“We’re out of curry powder,” Shuji told Kazuya, bringing the younger one back to why they were all in the kitchen at the first place.
“Oh, did you check the cupboard?” Kazuya asked.
Shuji nodded, “None.”
Kazuya sighed, “Well, I guess I’ll go to the conbini then.”
“No, I’ll go,” Shuji stepped in Kazuya’s path, “Your friends are here.”
“I’ll come with you,” Jin said.
“I’ll be fine,” Shuji rolled his eyes, “The conbini is a minute away from here. You can see it through your window, Jin.”
“Fine,” Jin gave in.
Shuji went to the entrance and grabbed his jacket again. As he was about to step out, Kazuya ran after him. Shuji gulped and looked at the younger one.
“You’re not going to look for Miroku, right?”
“I won’t.”
Kazuya smiled in relief, “He’ll come back, Shuji, don’t worry.”
Shuji weakly smiled and waited for Kazuya to leave before walking outside. He started to feel a little guilt because he hid the curry powder. When Koki and Yuichi were coming in, he hid the powder deep in the cupboard so he had an excuse to leave. He had to look for Miroku, even if it was bit for a few minutes. As he walked to the conbini, he bumped into someone. He quickly apologized and continued walking.
“Oh, I’m sor-Shuji?”
Shuji frowned when he heard his name. He stopped and turned around, towards the man he bumped into. It was Ueda.
“Oh, Ueda-san,” Shuji weakly smiled, “Hi.”
“How have you been?” Ueda kindly asked.
“Well…I’m sure you know…” Shuji mumbled, looking aside.
“I was just heading back to the bar, do you want to come?” Ueda suggested.
“S-sure.”
Shuji followed Ueda to the bar, completely forgetting about the curry powder. Along the way, Shuji asked if Miroku returned after he and Jin were there. After Ueda told him no, he sighed. Bad thoughts about where Miroku might have gone turned into worse. Ueda tried to cheer him up when he noticed the nervous look on Shuji’s face. He still looked nervous when they reached the bar. As they walked in, two older men were leaving. Shuji just got a small glimpse of them and he started frowning. There was something familiar about them.
“Shuji?” Ueda tilted his head.
Shuji shook the thought away and smiled, “I’m fine.”
Ueda smiled, “Come, you want a beer?”
“One wouldn’t be too bad, but I don’t think I have enough,” Shuji blushed, embarrassed.
Ueda chuckled, “No worried. On the house then.”
Ueda walked behind the bar stand and took a glass from beneath the stand. As he poured some beer from the tap, Shuji sat across from him.
“You really don’t have to,” Shuji said.
“It’s fine,” Ueda reassured him, handing the glass over.
Shuji took a small gulp of the cold beer right as Ryo returned from the storage room, holding a wine bottle. Ueda gave him a questioning look. Ryo ignored it and began to look around the bar.
“Where are they?” he groaned.
“Who?” Ueda asked.
“Those two bastards that keep coming over and never buying anything!” Ryo exclaimed.
“They just left,” Ueda answered, “Why? Were you about to give them wine?”
Ryo grumbled something incoherently and returned back to behind the bar stand.
“Are they regulars?” Shuji asked.
“No! They never buy anything!” Ryo annoyingly replied.
Ueda rolled his eyes, “What Ryo means is that they just recently began to show up.”
“Oh,” Shuji looking towards the door.

After an hour of being entertained by Ueda and Ryo, Shuji remembered the curry powder. He quickly bid them goodbye and ran to buy the powder. Once he bought it, he directly went back to Jin’s apartment. He tried to come up with an excuse for his lateness. The guilt returned to him when he reached Jin’s door. As quietly as he could, he opened the door and walked inside. However, it didn’t help. Shuji looked up and saw a very angry Kazuya looking back.
“Where the hell have you been?!”
“I’m sorry!” Shuji immediately said, “I…I ran into Ueda-san.”
“Why did you hide the curry powder?” Kazuya crossed his arms.
Shuji’s face grew red, “S-so you found it?”
“I-”
“Would you relax?” Jin interrupted Kazuya, “He was with Tatsuya. It’s not like he went looking for Miroku.”
“Is he back?” Shuji asked, hopeful.
Jin and Kazuya nervously looked at each other. Shuji took as a no.
Kazuya sighed, “… I’ll finish washing the dishes ….”
“I guess you finished dinner,” Shuji mumbled.
Jin nodded.
“Tanaka-kun and Nakamaru-kun?” Shuji asked.
“They left ten minutes ago,” Jin replied.
Shuji and Jin went to the living room. Shuji frowned when he noticed a new guest.
“Then Pi came over,” Jin finished.
“Hey!” Yamapi smiled at Shuji.
Shuji gave him a small nod back.
“I….heard about Miroku,” Yamapi’s smiled dropped from his face, “I’m sure he’s around.”
Shuji gulped, “Y-yeah.”
“He’ll come back soon, Shuji,” Jin said.
“It’s been almost three hours though,” Shuji replied, “Where could he have gone?”
“Have you heard anything from your uncle?” Yamapi asked Shuji.
Silence grew between the men. The only noise was coming from the running water in the kitchen. Shuji tilted his head, giving Yamapi a questioning look. Last time he checked, Yamapi had no idea who his uncle was.
“What do you know about my uncle?”
“Well, isn’t he a yakuza boss?” Yamapi said.
“How do you know about that?!”
“Jin….told me….” Yamapi cautiously answered.
“What?!” Shuji turned to Jin.
Jin flinched, “I-I didn’t sa-say that Yamapi w-was with Ryo and Tat-Tatsuya, didn’t I?”
“I can’t believe you!” Shuji exclaimed.
“I’m sorry! I was upset and drunk!”
Shuji glared at him, “It’s funny how every mistake you made involves alcohol.”
“H-hey!”
“You promised you wouldn’t say anything to people!” Shuji exclaimed. He was tired of that excuse. He couldn’t hold his anger towards it anymore, “Then, Nishikido and Ueda know! Now Yamashita! I can’t believe you, Jin! I’d never tell Kazuya we slept together!”
“W-wh-wh-what?”
