Walking

Sayid nodded to Charlie, offering a hand up to Lora before he looked around, mapping in his head the places that he wanted to pass by on his walk. Just a quick scan of the sentry posts, a few subtle checks of the warning system.

"Shall we, then?" he said, gesturing to the edges of the camp.

"Thank you." Lora said. "Charlie, how is Claire, if you don't mind me asking."

Charlie's face creased, wondering if she knew about Ethan. "She's-she's all right, all things considered."

Sayid looked very purposefully away from Charlie. "All things considered, that could cause as many problems as it solves," he said, his voice low.

Was once again, as usual, sitting all alone behind a tent, on the beach, as a group of 3 or 4 people were forming over 20 feet away, no doubt debating or having friendly conversation, something Carly could never have. So, to occupy herself, hungry stomach and all as Adrienne had seemed to disapear, she slowly brought out a squished bag into her lap. It was Charlie's...

The white powder was squishing and sticking together from the dew, water, and other things that had managed to seep throught he plastic, if any at all. And the dimming whiteness, still intrigued the child how this could of led to her 'mother's' impending hell and abuse, it was just powder afterall.

So quietly she stuck her little fingers into the bag, feeling the particles stick to her hand, even tickle, it felt like flower, and sugar combined. Slowly her fingers circled the insides of the bag, re-emerging with a small mountain of powder ontop of her index finger, raising it to her eyes she started at it inquisitively.
