neat connection!

I'm always reading on sites like Lostpedia about various connections between the actors' previous projects and their roles on Lost, but this isn't one I've seen mentioned.

Fisher Stevens (imdb), who play(s/ed) Minkowski, was instantly recognizable to me when they finally showed him in "The Constant," but I couldn't figure out why. A quick search reminded me that he was on the tv show "Early Edition" - a show I absolutely LOVED! For those who don't know it, it was about a guy who gets the newspaper one day early, and goes about trying to change the future. (Fisher Stevens plays his friend) Talk about connections to last night's episode all about time travel!

ALSO, did anyone else think it was weird that Daniel attributed Eloise's death to "lack of a constant?" It seemed to me that she died because he failed to ensure the future she experienced! When Desmond came to, Daniel was still working on the equations on the blackboard. It was 75min later, and he had told Desmond that he'd been planning to teach Eloise the maze "an hour from now." I guess he could have taught it to her while Desmond was passed out, but given his stance and his focus, it seemed like he'd been at the blackboard the entire time. It seems like a standard time-paradox that would inevitably have lead to her death: he sent her an hour into the future, after the point where he would've taught her the maze, but then he never taught her, so she was caught in a paradox loop, the likes of which would probably drive any one of us crazy, but surely would send a poor little mouse brain into aneurysm!

Despite this, however, Daniel is still probably my favorite character, at LEAST my favorite of the Frieghters. It's not often you see such positive and attractive portrayals of physicists in media!

What do you guys think??
