Crowded underground trains

I rarely get up in time to catch the commute hour trains on muni; today was different - I was in the thick of things. It was great. I got to watch all kinds of different people pile onto the train. In fact, I got to watch as four inbound trains, which were full to the brim, stopped and passed by as everyone watched (without being able to jump on). It was nice to look through the hoards of people to see a single eye, or ear, or stray hairs on someone's bangs. I was able to watch people play with the loops in the support holds and see people's expressions change as they read the paper, or typed on their mobile phones. All in all I like to watch people and thing about what is going through their minds, and who they are. It is a nice diversion for 15-35 minutes a day while I am thrust into the thick of city life and until I escape again to my own thoughts.

people, work, muni
