Well my brother Brian was in a very bad car accident on Thursday night. He needed to be flow to the hospital. He had his spleen taken out the first few hours he was there, they didn’t think he would make it through that and he pulled through with flying colors. He also broke both of his legs. The bones came through the skin and he lost a ton of blood. A person has about 9 or 10 units/pints? Of blood and the first night Brian needed to be given 10, so he lost all of his blood basically and then on Friday then needed to give him 7 more. So that wasn’t looking so good. He also cut his liver which will need to be fixed sometime next week. He hurt both his kidneys and had blood and fluid in his lungs. He got a skull fracture and a bruised brain. And a lovely cut on his face. His right arm was broken and for a while they thought they might need to amputate it because no blood was getting to his lower arm. Well he is doing better now. He had surgery on his kidneys and there was an artery leaking and they tied that off and took out half a kidney, so that should stop the bleeding. See most people only have two arteries going to there kidneys well Brian had four. So he got two tied off and the supposed two are still there, so something was finally in our favor. It was a weird genetic thing, but I’m all for it if it will help him. There is no word on his head damage the CAT scan can’t tell us anything because he is too swollen still. His legs and arm need to be operated sometime next week and he broke many other bones that will need to heal on their own. The blood and stuff id finally out of his lungs they are still bruised pretty badly but they shouldn’t be a problem any more. So he is still in terrible shape, but we think he is going to pull through. So I want to thank a ton of people now. Gillian who was there with my when I got the call saying my brother wasn’t going to make it. You literally held me up when I was going to fall. You have called and prayed and made me laugh these pass few days thank you. And thank you Mrs. Meade you were also a huge help getting information and worrying and talking to me looking out for me and praying. Thanks to Woodside I know Bri is now on the pray list so thanks for all the prayers. Thank you George who has called to check in and asked if you can help and thank you for your prayers too. Thanks Andy and Lindsay and anyone else at camp who knows. Thanks for allowing me to call and vent when I was going crazy in a hospital waiting room for the past 2 days. Thanks to my parents for driving me and helping me. To matt for just getting us out the door and getting ready. To Amanda who’s out in Chicago who is praying there with her friends. And anyone else I forgot, thank you all so much. So I’m heading back up to the hospital for the day. I guess I’ll keep you posted. Til next time...

Ps. William’s younger brother Nick passed away on Sunday, they buried him on Thursday and got the call for Brian that night, please keep him and his family in your prayers too.
