sweet green tea

Nov 11, 2004 01:46

i can go any which way.

the skin on my shoulder
brushes against your lap.

my will is weak.
the weight of sleep holds me down
lunges me deep into the depth of dreams,
where whispers sail me along to more sleep.
the daylight simmers, my warmth diminishes,
and there are days when i long for the taste of fruit.

i can smell sweet green tea only in my dreams
and taste only coffee when i am awake.
when the nights are long and dreams are longer,
i can only wish for your breath on me.

sing me to sleep
for your heart beat is all i see.
