Crushed jade velvet in your eyes
Speaks volumes of your soul
Open covers, verses flowing freely
Flickers of light accent your cashmere hair
That softly brushes your shoulder blades
It reminds meof the perfect mahogany frame
That gently surrounds our portait.
Eyebrows positioned so unnaturally,
Allowing you to apply that desperately dark tincture
To the areasurrounding your eyes.
"Passion in a bottle", you call it.
Slowly but sadly, your face pours out of pots and powders.
Moisture gathers on your lips and you quickly whisk it away.
10:19 and you're late again. But you aren'tperfect yet.
The sequins on your top outshine you,
As your breasts caress the fabric ever so gently
"Not bad for a 15.95 rack," you tell yourself.
Everyone looks just like you
but you have convinced yourself
You look like no one.
There's trouble in paradise
