So today theres a report out about how fishing will be impossible in 50 years time due to us having caused just about every type of fish population to have collapsed irrevocably.

This is so far right on the target for the predictions they've been making since the 80's when i first got interested in it (Scarborough is still a fishing town as well ( Read more... )

Yeah I read that, its the same with our gas and oil supply’s, we know there running out but rather than conserve and convert to other source (more so than we are, bio fuels are not that big at the moment, the oil company’s that own the patent to the water powered car wont be releasing that unit oil is nearly expended thus making even more money etc...) we never learn until its too late and then we run around like fools trying to fix the unfixable.

Hmm I come from another fishing town, Grimsby, the industry there has diminished quite a lot, most of it went to Hull, and its left a dead end town with no prospects and a dysfunctional youth (to touch upon what you have mentioned before). The problem is things have become too efficient, it takes fewer people to catch the fish, so less jobs, but bigger halls, does making life easer equate to a better life, I guess it depends on what side of the fence you on, and how you view the world... lost in self pondering sorry for the ramble... but it comes to the reason for this post.

I want to start up a political party, members of the party must have had previous experience in the posts they wish to take up, so someone whom is an ex soldier would be the mp for the MOD, a teacher (or head) for education, someone from the NHS of health Minster etc. put some reality back in to politics, rather than employing people that have never truly experienced that what there managing.

As for a party head, I still like the idea of the Pm being ex military, like Paddy Ashdown, I would vote for him still, he had responsibility, had to look out for and sort out the different branches to the forces he was working with etc, he had been in a leadership role prior to going for that of the PM. To me this makes far more sense that having PM's and a Prime mister with out any really experience.

It’s but an idea.
