RMA means that you've told the manufacturer that something is faulty and they have agreed to replace or refund it, usually after a period of tech support questions like: "Have you tried turning it off and back on again?"
It was buggared. Basically it would allow you to copy some files to a shared folder and then it would stop. For no apparent reason you would no longer have permission to copy to that folder, or delete anything, or modify anything. Only way to fix it was to turn it all off, wait a few seconds, then power it back on, wait 5 mins, and then you'd be allowed to do anything you liked again.
No idea why and their tech support weren't much use so they told me to return it if I could. I've done so and am looking for an alternative at about the same price or less.
