News, rapid fire.
Stuff with the house is good - it's holding up well. Soon I plan to break into the attic and see if there's treasure buried in insulation. Or, at least, insulation.
I have a roommate lined up. Greg plans to move in April 1st - that's good. Less stressful having someone else here - and I've decided I do NOT like living alone. I don't hate it, but the house feels so empty. I'm a community oriented person.
I just got a really excellent line on a comission... Apparently I may get to do some stuff for the SPCA. Woo! Jewellery AND an excuse to model something after Teddy! yay!
Also, I've been working towards making Kayte's rings. I don't want to even START without having the design completely clear to both of them - wedding rings are NOT the sort of thing to do lightly. I almost feel like it's a ceremony all of it's own, making them. I'm holding off on my temptation to photograph every step of the process, and keep emailing them off the couple to make sure they like what they're seeing. I think making my best friends wedding rings may just be the biggest commission I ever do.. No matter what comes after it. :)
So, stuff's good. Jewellery and cabbing is keeping me VERY busy. But, Scott finds a way to work himself into my schedule, which is fantastic. And I've been having dinner parties. Lots, of dinner parties. Usually one couple at a time, so as to not miss out on visiting with each guest. I find when I have a big group over, I just turn into HostessBot, and don't really enjoy the presance of my guests as much.. See, I DO learn as I get old.. ;)
