What are you expecting in season 3 of 'Lost'?
I'm expecting:

* Lots on "the others". Like how they saw the plane crash, why they are there, why they have taken some yet not others from the survivors.

* Hopefully something on the survivors family and friends who are looking for them.

* The answer to the numbers, what they mean.

* More answers to this ( Read more... )

Yes. My new theory is based on the commercials for season 3. Apparently, the WHOLE SHOW is based around Kate's love life. The all-important question - "Will she choose Jack or Sawyer?" - should be our reason for watching. Therefore, I deduce that the Others know this, and have kidnapped all three of them so as to best assist this "storyline".

(The above theory was written with heavy amounts of eye-rolling.)

Eye-rolling indeed :P

Well I can see that as actually happening, to of course help the storyline.
I like the little snippet of Sawyer grabbing Kate and then kissing her, in the previews. I love Sawyer so much, I was not surprised that he would do that to Kate. But what is Jack going to do with Kate, if she's hooked up with Sawyer?
I really can't see how the whole show is based around Kate's love life. There has to be more to it than that. Surely.

Well I always thought there was more to it, but not judging by the ads. Oh, or the summary thing last week!

I thought they were pretty heavy-handed in the beginning of Season 1, actually, about setting Jack and Kate up as the show's Couple, but I guess it's TV so they're apt to change their minds.

But Channel 7 might be showing us only a small section of the preview, they are known to fuck things up like that in the past. So I really do think there is more to it than that :)

I agree they were pretty heavy-handed in the beginning. But now it's all changed as in season 1 was all about Kate and Jack, then in season 2 it was all about Kate and Sawyer. It will be interesting either way she chooses now, I think.

LOL, I'm not saying I actually think it's going to be all about that. It's just they're making such a huge deal of it in the preview, it's obviously what they think is likely to draw viewers. And I'm not especially drawn.

Good point though about the difference between the seasons.

Yeah I know :)
I don't get why they need to draw in the viewers that way though. I mean really, the real hard core fans will watch it no matter what, and the newbies don't understand what is really going on between Jack, Kate and Sawyer anyway. But anyway, i'm not drawn in by that either :)

Thanks, yeah, I realised it only by re-watching season 1 recently on Fox 8. I like how it's all changed direction with the love interests.
