If you don’t feel my thoughts are valid, fine. hell yea it pisses me off, but just because you have your head so far up your ass you can listen to what I’m saying doesn’t mean I'm wrong. Hang in there, Duncan. People are listening now. Many people who talk a lot just want an audience. It's not so much that they don't want to hear what YOU have to say, it's that they don't want to be interrupted, just appreciated. Find people who want to have a conversation, not just an audience, and they'll listen to you, and appreciate most if not all that you have to share. You're learning a lot by doing things for yourself. Being broke and working thankless jobs is hard, but you'll find something to sustain yourself, whether it's working lousy jobs for a good purpose, like working in Kenya, or you'll find an art or activity you can practise and devote your best efforts to, and just think of the other stuff as the time and effort you have to put in to pay the rent. For years, I busted my ass the way you did, working gardening type jobs, giving plasma to make a few extra dollars, not having a girlfriend, wondering whether it was all worthwhile, but after a while you relax, find stuff to do that is fulfilling and meet someone who will care about you. There's a lot of people out there. Just don't push them to be there for you, concentrate on enjoying what time you have, and know that if you are there for them, either they will respond, or perhaps you're with the wrong person and need to try another.
