(no subject)
i turned seventeen on tuesday. i had the first good birthday i've had in a long time. mike took me shopping so i could pick out my birthday present and then we went out to lunch. i got a plaid scarf, a burgundy hat, and some make-up. had a family dinner, which was surprisingly bearable and maybe even borderline pleasant. hung out with shannon for awhile too, which was fun as usual.
i registered for next semesters classes last week. i'll be attending fullerton college again.
i'm taking:
-ANTH 102F: cultural anthropology
-READ 165F: advanced vocabulary for power reading/writing
-ECON 101F: principles of micro economics
-FASH 150F: introduction to the fashion industry
-PHIL 100F: introduction to philosophy
-PSY 110F: human sexuality
~and maybe one of the following~
-MUS 126F: beginning voice (IF I QUIT SMOKING.)
-MUS 135AF: beginning piano (IF I DON'T QUIT.)
life is changing once again, and i'm scared; but i feel like for once, i'm up for the challenge.
i'm growing up a little bit, and i've begun to accept the fact that no one and nothing is concrete, and that most things won't be around forever, or at least, most things won't stay the same forever. everything is in a constant state of change and motion, and i'm tired of going against the flow. i'm trying to change my outlook/actions by thinking with a "cup half full" mentality and being a bit more patient with things.
i hope that everyone is doing well, and also to catch up with some of you soon.
