I'm so frustrated, I can't find any potential restaurant I would like to work at for my externship in orlando. Pretty much every restaurant is a chain or something owned by disney. I'm starting to just think about staying here, I want to work at the Driskill Grill. The pastry chef there, Michael Chapman, worked with Jacques Torres!!! The cute Frenchman that's dean of pastries at the french culinary institute. i don't care what people think about the french and france, i love everything french.
This weekend my dad was talking to me about how he really didn't want me to enroll in school or any school at all. His plan was for me to graduate high school and move me to mexico with the rest of his family so i can get married to a worthy mexican. He believes men should be the bread-winner, not women. He dosn't see anything wrong with women working, just he still thinks that men should be in control of the finances and work and the the wives should stay home, watch the kids, prepare meals...wow this sounds very old-fashioned. that's my dad for ya. i think women should have control of their future and not depend on a man for their foundations. women need to construct their own because now a days men aren't very dependable. very sad because a part of me would like to just find that guy and get married and cater to him, the children, and the house. I guess that could've working in mexico but most definitely not here. I think america has forgotten the sole reason why we get married. marriage is a support system, marriage is to create children who will be good citizens to society and become better then their parents. Marriage can't be based on sex alone or strong emotions, sometimes not even strong love. What I mean by that is that if there is a steady flame(love) then it has the potential to go on forever, but if the flame(love) is too wild and untamed then their love will be short-lived and will cause problems.........i probably sound crazy.
