Star Trek
My dad and I used to watch the Star Trek TV series shows thingies (whatever). I quite enjoyed it, but did not think that I would actually spend money to go and see a movie of it... BUT, when it was announced that Karl Urban was going to star in it, I knew I would go and see it, at least once.
I`ve already seen it three times -- in the cinema.
And furthermore, I am amazed at the amount of fanfic in that fandom. At first I thought I would enjoy reading Nero/McCoy or Eric/Karl but now I find myself constantly looking for McCoy/Kirk-fics. I love it!!
Not so much Kirk/Spock. Spock didn`t make that much of an impression on me.
Anyways, my favourite scene in the movie was where Kirk and Bones meet each other for the first time ( I almost squealed - and I am NOT a squealer). Here is a really nice pic of it:
