grammaticality

So you might be wondering when I fell of the edge of the earth...or you might not care in the least, but I'll give a short update anyway, for my own sanity.

I moved out of Wells on Dec. 16 and went home for Christmas. It was really nice to see my family and have real food for a while. I got a massive cold right after Christmas, but I was on the go. On Dec. 29, Alice and I flew to Guatemala and met Debra there (not sure any of you know her, but she used to go to Wells). What an experience. We traveled around Guatemala and Belize for 2 1/2 weeks and then had to fly home. (the Guatemala story is for another post)

The day after I got home, I had orientation and had to deal with financial aid, the registrar, the bursar, res life, parking, advising, and scheduling, among other things. I ended up changing my housing assignment from a regular double to a 2 bedroom apartment. I started classes last Tuesday, so I really couldn't move in because I really didn't have time. I commuted from home last week and began slowly bringing my stuff. By Friday, I had enough to actually stay in the apartment, but no food (I'm not on a meal plan). I spent Friday night and Saturday at home and on Sunday I went to help Alice move into her new apartment in Middletown. She has a new puppy named Penny who is the cutest thing ever!

Anyway, long story short, I got food and am here now, but I like the idea of being close enough to go home or to Alice's apt. any time I want, even for just one day.

I have some cool classes and some boring ones, but this semester should be good, school-wise. I'm taking Analytical Chem and that might kick my ass, but we'll see.

So...that's about it.
