Crossing the Queen Elizabeth bridge, looking back up the Thames towards the Docklands and the East End and thinking of how much has changed since my dad's family arrived in the UK that way 100+ years ago. I'm on my way back from my great-uncle's funeral and feeling melancholy and sentimental.
