One more for the good guys

How about a high-five for Guerrilla System, Solemn Vow, and Bastognes Best?

Among with the other bands, these guys spontaneously put on the biggest display of raw talent and performing skills this city has ever seen. The classics were perfected by Matt and Guerrilla System, as the new wave of Springfield hard-core was brought on by Roger and Solemn Vow. A certain feeling always comes over me when I get to proclaim "Straight-Edge, unite! Drug free for life!" alongside one of the most influential figures in my life. And to follow up, I was called upon to stand in for a saxophone player in Bastognes Best. Playing the familiar tunes, I watched Chuck interact with the bulk of Springfield's ska scene in ways that brought absolutely nothing short of entertainment! The perils of Exact Change Man added an extra twist to everybody's enjoyment.

Why do I hold this in such high praise? Roger has created a place where bands are allowed to just come in and play their music for people without worrying about financial status [in every way imaginable] or popularity. The Black Sheep Cafe is a becon of hope for what's left of the Springfield scene. It takes a guy who's in an every day band, who knows the struggles of being unknown and "underprivileged", in a sense, to properly run a real venue that allows other every-day bands to play. Everybody appreciates what you're doing, and we're all backing you up for whatever you need 100%.

In this room full of people who enjoyed this exhibit of awesomeness, how could anybody knot have fun? I guess maybe a guy whose business is in jeopardy... We spied a flustered Miles Parkhill, who knot only obviously came with no intentions of enjoying himself, also *laughed* at BXBX's drummer who dropped a stick in the middle of the song (yet still kept a good beat I might add). He then left the building several minutes later and never returned. We all know he's the drummer of a band that's been who cares where and sold who cares how many albums... But this show was a good statement, and it kicked off the best thing that Springfield scene has ever seen, and what was going on was not to be laughed at in any negative fashion (but in all sorts of positive ways). Shame on him...

Thank you Roger and everybody else for all of the hard work that has been poured into this project. This is very admirable, and everybody who came to the show and sung along and interacted tonight has my deepest respect.
