alright kids gather round, it's story time!
so tonight me and chris went and played soccer at the rec for a while, then went and got some dinner and headed off to the baseball game (we surprisingly beat #16 OU). at one point this guy sitting in front of us who was apparently visiting for the weekend, said something to the girls sitting next to him (they go here) that he promised a friend of his that he'd get a picture with any hot girls he saw over the weekend. they hesitated, but went ahead and got in the picture with him. so i decided to be an idiot (imagine that) and slowly scoot over so i could pop into their picture. well, when i did this i scooted into the girl next to me's drink and it spilled all over the place. luckily i didn't get it all over her or her stuff but i still felt bad. i apologized and told her i'd buy her another one, but she wouldn't let me, saying it was no big deal. after insisting several times she kept saying not to worry about it so i gave in. so i was talking to chris and i told him it'd be funny if i asked her out to make it up to her, and he said i should do it. being a person with hardly any inhibition, i decided to do it. so i turned to her and casually said "hey, since you won't let me buy you another drink, can i make it up to you by taking you out to lunch or something?" i expected her to waste no time in answering "no" (which wouldn't bother me anyways), but instead she looked at me and said, in a fairly calm voice, "oh, i don't go here." i said "oh really?" and before i could even ask WHERE she went, she said "i'm 16."
needless to say, all i could say was "wow, that's...interesting." her and her friend ended up getting up to go sit somewhere else a couple minutes later. i told myself it was cuz they didn't wanna stand in the spilt coke, but i knew that wasn't the case. oh well, i don't care, and it made my night cuz it was hilarious.
