It started out easy enough. Got
mirax80 to the car rental place, but the car wasn't there yet, so we had to go back. In the meantime, they got some breakfast, and we had a terribly insightful conversation about religion. Took them back the car rental place, got the car and then saw them off to the zoo.
In the meawhile,
ion_control and I went to my local Mom & Pop donut shop for a little indulgence. True custard filled, raised donut Long Johns FTW. After that we picked up the remaining flowers for the wedding and then settled in so that she could watch Grissom's Last Stand while I dozed on the couch.. And then she got me hooked on watching "REPO: The Genetic Opera" (which I may need to watch again, because even distracted I was enjoying it).
The relaxing part of the day was coming to an end as I hopped in the shower and got ready to go. Once I looked like a real live grownup, we stopped in at the store for Rosemary sprigs and a card. And then... DUN DUN DUNNNNNNNNN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :O :O :O At 3:20 in the afternoon. ::massive eye roll:: What normally takes me 20 minutes, took 45, so it's I good thing I factored that in.
We arrive at the hotel, roughly on schedule at 4:05PM... But no one else is ready for us! :O :O :O So,
ion_control and I go over to Applebee's and get something to eat. It was just what the doctor ordered. Nice medium steak, steamed broccoli and Diet Pepsi until I started to hum. Then we got a call, and we figured they were ready for us to get cracking on the flowers and the final setup. Oh no, it was a frantic call asking me to take 2 people to the store for nail polish and shoes. 3 stores later, we got it all. And the was now 6PM... Wedding at 7PM. :O
Rush back to the hotel, arrange the wedding bouquet, make the new placecards, assign someone to a table, and get the girls to put their well-wishes on the flower tags for the bouquet. Got the corsages to the Mom's & Grandma, boutonniere on the Groom, rush around a little and almost miss the *ceremony.*
Beautiful ceremony, gorgeous Bride, proud Groom, crying mothers, cheering friends and family... Mr & Mrs Sith Couple!!!
Great time with all of our friends and I cut out a little early so I manage the event tomorrow... And goodnight!
