"No problem at all! I'm just sorry to report that there are really NO gay bars in Sault Ste. Marie. However on a recent trip up a month ago my friend researched this a little bit and heard back from the tourism board. "The Lesbian, Gay, bisexual, and transgender community holds dances second and fourth Saturdays of every month plus additional dates for special events at Algonquin Hotel (upstairs). Check schedule at algomapride.com 946-7006."
Also, and this is a far cry from anything you might be used to, but the local strip club was a whole lot of fun and they were nice to us there. It's called Studio 10 and it's by the international bridge. There was pretty much only 1 hot stripper there named Mary Lou, but you can drink, the waitresses are good to you, and the bouncers keep an eye out that no drunk guys will bother you. I went on a week day but apparently on the weekends quite a few women go. Don't be alarmed if they don't offer you lap dances though, apparently the dancers think that women will never really go for them.
Other than that, just stick to drinking in downtown pubs."
