Don't'cha just love how I leave things hanging?
Surgery: It took freaking forever, and a few phone calls on my part, but I did finally get my pathology reports. They were Benign*!
* means that they had no cancerous cells. They did, however, have atypical cells, which means that they are much more likely to grow back. I told the doc I had figured that part out already. So now, aside from just watching for symptoms, I go back for an endemetrial biopsy a little after the new year to screen for the little buggers. I am also going in for my yearly in a couple of weeks, and having an IUD put in, with the hope that it may stop some of the hormone issues that are causing the polyps to grow in the first place. Honestly, I've now had two periods after this surgery, and I think things are still not right. I'll talk to the doc at may appointment about it.
Work: I had the interview at Sonoma 2 weeks ago, and who knows when I'm going to hear anything. Sounds like they are making it a long process. I also had an interview at another vet practice yesterday, an all kitty vet in Rochester that was absolutely beautiful, and comes highly recommended to me by a vet I know who did some temp work there. My big problem is that I really don't want to leave the practice I'm at, because I love the people I work with and the stuff I do, but the management is making me beat my head against a wall. We shall see how this all falls out.
Providing I can get the time off (not sure, since we did this so last minute), Jason and I will be taking a few days to go wander the UP!!! The plan will be to leave on a Friday, after work, and get as far as Pellston. Saturday we'd go over the bridge, and most likely head west. We both want to do some wandering through the national forests up there, plus head into The Porkies and Copper Country. We're even toying with the idea of hopping across Wisconsin to Duluth, just so we can say we've been to another state, and apparently Jason wants to see it anyway. I think it's a boat thing. It'll be pretty free-form, and we will only have 4 days besides the partial day up, so not a ton of time, but that's okay. We had a blast last time, and then we only had 2 days!
