I hate 8 days of rain!!
Didn't you guys love the 8 days of rain and the wonderful flooding! My mom's basement "sprung" a leak, I am talking hole in the concret and the water was coming in like someone turned on a faucet! about 8-10 inches of water. And of course most of the stuff that got wet and ruined was my stuff. My mini fridge is down there, my bags of winter clothing and some stuffed animals. Any laundry that was down there floated around. The washer and dryer has 2 inches of water in the bottom. Lucky Russ could find a pump and he pumped all the water out. Well most, there are a few puddles left. But then lucky me my mom and Russ left for Aruba yesturday morning leaving me to wash allthe clothes, towels, and blankets at the laundromat! I have spent the last 5 hours doing laundry. I will never wash Russ' clothes again! They take forever to dry!! I had to throw out a box and a half of my stuff because it was ruined. I am trying to save somethings like the jewelry box and jewelry that my great grandmother gave me when I was younger. Some pictures, knick-knacks and such I have drying out. What really upset me which is a bit silly is the photo album I made when my old cat Simba died was destroyed. I managed to save some of the pictures. I know it is silly but that album meant alot. That cat helped me through my parent's divorce, moving two times to two different schools, and many other unpleasent experiences. I was devosated when he died and now all that I had left was mostly ruined in the stupid flooding basement. I hate that basement even more then I did before. But I am done ranting for now. I am hungry and I need to go back to my apartment and feed the dogs so that I can go to the Saccente's for spagetti and meatballs! Yay!!
