Caramelized Onion Pizza... DELICIOUS

I bought one of those packets of dry pizza dough for like 85 cents and prepared the dough like the packet said. While it was setting for a few minutes, I sauteed the 3 sliced onions in olive oil. When they were nice and golden I added balsamic vinegar, sugar, and salt and cooked it until the liquid was pretty much gone.

While the onions were cooking I spread some store bought pizza sauce on the dough and shredded some mozzarella cheese on top of the sauce. Once the onions were done cooking I spread them out on top of the pizza and baked for about 20 minutes.

If I'm feeling fancy next time I might nix the pizza sauce and try it with a hickory barbecue sauce.



We eat like kings in this house! :)
