Camping! With Pics

I had my doubts when I walked into the 'gross' toilets and saw a giant harvetsman spider on the wall, but a quick stroll up the path led me to some much nicer toilets with no insect life as far as I could see. We ended up spending an extra night becuase it rocked that much. Admittedly we'd all only packed for one night, so it was a case of living in old smelly clothes- which made it even more fun!

There was a me, a Dodo, a Tash, a Jon and a Nat (Bulb) in the tent and we succesfully spent almost 48 hours together (with no supervision at all) without one of us killing another. I did, however, nearly kill us all by almost bringing in the gas cooker thing without turning it off first *eeeep* but we're all alive now.

First night was mostly a board and card game fest. We played outdoor Twister (I somehow ended up with my head up Tasha's arse) and indoor Grab-A-Nana. Then Jon taugh me 'Go Fish' and so I found a new love. I had a fantastic night's sleep all spooned with Dodo :p Apparently I take over ever inch of space not filled by her but she didn't mind too much I hope. We were all well prepared (straighteners, coffee, cards, Hugsy my bedtime penguin pal- the essentials :p) although next time, a little less junk food may be wise.
Then there was the four hour walk to Matlock and back- just for Fish N Chips, Ice Cream and gambling. Oooh and mine and Jon's duck army :D

In short, camping rocked, even the creepy old shopkeeping lady: ("Ya want sweets? I'm not opening if you're only looking" and "Haa haa, you've got Frosties but no milk!")

Oh, and a note, playing UNO in the dimmest light imaginable is near impossible. The cards were: blue, green, red and yellow. We all saw: grey, dark grey, slightly darker grey and baby sick. I think we broke our eyes.

A beautiful view, with some beautiful people...and Jon (kidding hun :P)

Early morning (well 11am) emergence from the tent. Note the coffee!

Jon looking scarily happy.
Dodo looking scarily pensive.

Nothing beats Twister.
Except Outdoor Twister and being sat on by Jon :p

We walked for FOUR BLOODY HOURS.
But how sweet is this?
Except for Jon scratching his arse.

Mine and Jon's army of ducks. Someday we will take over the world :p.

friends, camping
