- CHARACTER INFORMATION
NAME: Uzuki Yashiro
CODENAME: Pinky N/A
SERIES/SOURCE: The World Ends With You
AGE: 16 (Birthday January 15th)
GENDER: female
ROLE: student

BACKGROUND: Uzuki was born to ambitious parents--her father was the CEO of a large company in Japan, and spent most of his time at work, while her mother was a stay-at-home mom who turned her daughter's schooling into a job. As a result, Uzuki was pushed to always be as close to perfect as she could manage. It was lucky, then, that Uzuki inherited their ambitious tendencies, and rose to all their challenges, bringing home perfect grades, getting into a top high school and continuing to excel, and generally doing whatever it took to stay on top.

This was thrown off, however, when she developed her mutant abilities. While she could hide them, they were a bit of a hidden pride for her, and while she couldn't show them to her parents or let them be known in school, she started getting into parkour, using her abilities--her wings, particularly--to allow her to pull off stunts that no one else could manage, although she was also quite skilled even without her powers.

It was during her practicing that she literally ran into Koki Kariya, and they became friends. A while after that her parents discovered her mutant powers, and were far from pleased. While they didn't disown her, they made it clear she was going to the Xavier Institute and if she didn't continue to perform to expectations, they would. She dragged Kariya along with her when she found out he was a mutant, too--she wasn't about to go alone.

PERSONALITY: Uzuki is extremely ambitious, and has a short temper to boot. She can't understand people who don't work hard (which makes you wonder how she's friends with Kariya), and is unhappy with herself if she doesn't perform as she expects. She's especially serious about her grades, having been at the top of her class for as long as she can remember simply on hard work alone (she's only a bit above average as far as intelligence goes, the rest of the distance she makes up for with hard work).

She doesn't make friends easily, due to her serious nature and her low tolerance for stupidity or distractions, but doesn't really mind. While if you can earn her trust she's quite loyal, it's extremely difficult to put up with her that long, or make her think you're worth her while.

APPEARANCE: Uzuki has short pink hair and violet eyes. She has a pair of wings which appear to be a cross between bat wings and a rod iron fence turned upside-down, although they're not always out.

POWERS: Uzuki has wings that allow her to hover a bit and glide, although not fly, which she can make appear and disappear at will. She can also shoot blasts of energy of varying strengths, although they're more powerful when channeled through an object. Eventually she'll be able to "sync up" with Kariya during fights, first simply moving as one unit and eventually developing similar secondary powers.

ANYTHING ELSE?: no

- RP SAMPLES
First-person sample: Is this the place? Hm, better than I expected it would be. I guess I'll introduce myself. I'm Uzuki Yashiro, and I've just arrived from Japan. I hope this place will be worth my time.

Third-person sample: She hadn't thought she brought that much with her, but the bags were still annoying to carry on her own. Still, she shouldered them and ignored the urge to demand Kariya take them, instead moving toward the building that loomed before her. A boarding school for mutants was a bit strange--and who knew what sort of education she'd get here--but she'd have to make the best of it.

And she would, of course. She wasn't going to let something like getting sent to a mutant school in America stop her from getting a good education. she'd need a job, too, if she wanted to buy anything here. If there was anything worth buying; this place was so tiny compared to Shibuya.

She walked into the school, aimed in the direction of the girls' dorms.
