ohhh. so good. we waited 7 hours and got basically the best spot in the crowd (center, front-row), they played every song i was thinking at the time, the requesed songs were "trip my wire" "kick my arse" "push it", which..they didn't remember and caused a whole lot of swaring from shirley and laughing from the croud. they then put on that theme song for the add "banana boat" and the crowd and shirley sang and danced to it, but they then resulted to playing supervixen the song i was shouting out (but someone else requested). and in metal heart shirley marched to that "i want to be dependant" part. that was excellent, it was so fucking good. but BEST of fucking alll,
I GOT SPAT ON BY SHIRLEY
haha, she took a gulp of water from her extremly large bottle i might add and then spat it out to the crowd. it hit my arm. haha "i'm never washing THIS arm again!!!". during "why do you love me" she got on the floor for the slightley darker bit of the song, and rocked from side to side. that was brilliant, they finished with..i think..happy home, (i was enjoying myself to much) and then encore was No:1 crush and then finally cherry lips. they confirmed the breaking up rumours weren't true *crowd goes crazy*, they're just taking a very long break. a ten year break. Best song of night was, cherry lips and bleed like me. shirley was so hot, and so close to us. she was wearing those 'shirley' denim shorts. which on the front read "if the boy says i'm stuck up, tell him to shut the fuck up" mind you, this was small-ish writing, and WE could read it. she wore a black t-shirt, with a pocket in the middle of it. and ofcourse fish-nets with her adidas boots.**worst part of the night. fucking girl trying to get my place in the front row *could of punched her* and after the show. alright this is how it goes, before anyone in the crowd even MENTIONS a set-list..the filthy barstards. i ask one of the roadies "hey can i have the set-list" and he says NO and then a second after he's like to the other 10 poeple, "who wants the set list" and then gave it to this idiot.
duke, butch and steve were fantastic, especially duke. An hour after the show duke came out and signed my ticket and "bleed like me" booklet. And i got to tell him he's an awesome guitarist. and he leaned in to hear it again, because he didn't hear it the first time and then said thank-you and smiled very close to my face. after signing everyones shit, he then went across the long line and shook and hi-fived people. he shook my hand "i'm never washing THIS hand again!!" it was brilliant. steve walked past with the extra guitarist guy, but noone realised it was him i'm like "steve!!" he just said thanks for coming and walked into the distance. then shirley and butch came out after us watching duke have a long long smoke with the roadies, but they just got into the car and waved and smiled. oh, you can't imagine how excellent it was. they preformed every song to perfection and put on a killer show. shirley was dancing and everything. i love her little routines. she looked at me like 15 times whilst singing, but then again she looked at another 1500 people. ♥ 90 bucks was sooo worth it.
