According to a Mosque Study Project 2000, regular weekly attendance at mosques almost doubled between 1994 and 2000, and active association with mosques quadrupled. Young muslims born and raised in United States are often much more observant of Islamic practice that their parents are. In United States 50 percent of muslims age 18-29 say they attend a mosque every week, far more often then the older generations.
