Three Days and Two Nights of a Solemn Moment with God
~ It was JULY 9,2010, Friday, when my first retreat occurred. I am a 4th yr student right now and since I am a senior, one of the most exciting event that I a m anticipating is our RETREAT. Before that special day bloggie, I had bought different clothes to wear for that 3 days and 2 nights retreat. Of course!~ retreat wouldn't be complete without retreat letters!:)..soo..I made a lot of RETREAT LETTERS for my friends!xDD..It's really tiring you know?:D..making sort of those stuffs. I even folded them neatly..In an "ORIGAMI FORM" ..Mostly, they are folded in a shape of a swan.(reallY!~ I've exerted a lot of effort for this!)>.<...I even slept late..well back to the topic...
1st DAY
~ Well, inside the bus...I'm enjoying myself..laughing out loud with my friends, eating junk foods while making a letter to Bianca , and talking to Yeon Su at the same time.. Then suddenly, Yeon Su suggested to me to read the letter that she had made. I told her"Ya!~later na lang" but then she keep on insisting me so I read it. While I'm unwrapping the rolled parchment she gave to me earlier, I was shocked to see that her letter is quite long and she has a legible writing..hahaxDD!~ While reading her letter, I instantly cried!I'm not yet even done reading the whole thing that time(still in the middle part) but my tears burst out loud. TT>TT..It's really sweet... i had never expected in my whole existence that YEON SU, one of my BEST FRIENDS for almost 5 years would be that expressive in her letter.:((...>u<.. She told me..
"You're such a great great great best friend. I cannot imagine my life without you..(suka na ko!>.>..)xDD.."---one of her cutest lines hahaxD..
"I'm sorry if I'm not that expressive towards you. If you cannot see that i appreciated you, it's just that...I'm really not good at appreciating things but I appreciate you.."----shock + overwhelmed= XD..TT>TT..:D
Really..those lines struck me...I can say that.."Aaahh...Yeon Su is sweet pala...hindi lang halataXDD"
And after that, I cried again...When I read the short letter that BIANCA had gave me. It says:
" LORIE..WAG MAGPAKASANAY SA CEBU!UWE KA KAAGAD HAH!"
--and then after that...being a Drama Queen, I cried again..T>T..Gosh!~ It's hard to imagine my life without my best friends. Imagine that bloggie.. They're one of the most special individuals in my life...I'm always with them..every school days..or even in watching movies..XD."harry potter and the half blood prince" and "twilight".xDD..God!~ just thinking about it, I feel like crying right now..
so back to the main point... When we arrived in our retreat house: BETANIA RETREAT HOUSE, PANSOL, LAGUNA..we felt like resting.. The trip was way..way...way...too long...about 3 or 2 and a half hours? then after that, we were assigned in our designated rooms.. By the way, I'm staying in RM.304,3rd floor, with my roommate "TANYA HUGGINS":D.She's really kind you know.:)
Around 4pm, we ate our merienda which is "GINATAAN"..It's soo creamy..XDD..and yeah!~delicious!~
After that, one of the main head superior, SISTER VALENTINE, went to see us in the Conference hall and explained the different rules to follow inside the Retreat House itself.
We have 5 meals a day...Breakfast, recess, lunch, merienda, and dinner!XDD..
(yeah!we're soo full all the time!~)..xDD
Our first activity which is "REPRESENT YOURSELF WITH A SYMBOL" had started at 7:20 in the evening,after dinner. All of us represented our-self with a symbol when someone started to cry...and that person who started our HEADACHE for the night was"CAMILLE EMBALZADO(Doggie)"...and then after that, we all started to cry...
Most of the stories I've heard about my classmates were problems about "PEER PRESSURE"..Most of the people are trying to cope with someone, searching for their true friends, feeling betrayed, then finally!~finding the right CIRCLE OF FRIENDS whom they can trust. Most of my classmates have opened up themselves and after that, I feel that...our class got more intimate...and closer to each other. After that, we prayed the holy rosary...The activity ended around 11:30 pm.. or at midnight i think?XDD..After that, I felt a major HEADACHE!!>_______________________________<
By the way, I went to Marinela and Nicole's room..and Relly, Regine(Dedeng), Maerianne were also there. I've started to scare them and I told them a scary story when someone suddenly knocked to our door. We're all shocked...they screamed....and we're afraid to open the door..hahaxDD
Then I went outside...I asked my other classmates and they said "YES".:D..and I told them"Stop scaring us around" hahaxDD
2nd Day
We woke up really early that time..around 5 pm?:o...Then we all took a bath even though the usual wake up time is 6 AM. After that, we rest for awhile..waiting for the bell to ring...signaling for a nice breakfast meal!:P...XDD.. After that, we went to the conference hall for our second activity. The second activity was "Thank the people you would like to thank".:D..I've thanked my friends...And I'm shocked to see Bianca..crying again...like her,I've cried too..
She told me:
"Thank you for everything. You were my childhood friend ever since grade 1..and thank you...for supporting me and not leaving me behind..Imagine that...It's the 10th year of our friendship this year.."XD..
----With that statement...Lot of realizations came through me...that I should treasure each moment with my friends..especially this year...OUR LAST YEAR..My last year with my friends,classmates,colleagues, and BEST FRIENDS!TT>TT..:((..
After that we ate lunch...FUNNY THING IS..I felt the urge to use the bathroom and release all the unwanted feelings in my stomach..hahaxDD!! But I'm not the only one.Also Marinela and Roqsan, then we went to our floor which is 3rd floor..
Released our unwanted uneasiness and after that we felt good!xDD..~but the CLIMAX PART: after we did that, the atmosphere is too heavy hahaxDD!~ you know why?------because...We forgot to turn the EXHAUST FAN!!and the unwanted smell suffocates the whole 3rd floor and our classmates went to their respected rooms to rest when they smelled an awful smell hahaxDD!!:))
After that we watched a movie entitled "FACING THE GIANTS"...it's a good movie though we felt bored a bit and tired because we woke up too early. After that we ate dinner...:))..Roqsan and I, were the ones who liked the dinner best.
In fact, we had a clean plate!!hahaxDD(just kidding)....
After that...we have proceeded to our next activity. Well the topic is a bit sensitive..about "family issues".. I've discovered a lot of things from my classmates and I've realized that I'm really fortunate...and again!~"we stiil CRIED"X0...Y________Y.
3RD DAY:
This was the last day of our retreat. We had a mas and then went home!~(yeah! I missed my parents!~)
After that, I felt better...it's soo frustrating and fun at the same time! This three nights and 2 days trip gave me a lot of realizations. I've realized that I should live my life to the fullest,treasure each moment I had with my friends, loved ones, and colleagues..
