Writing Exercise: Departure

what's the famous saying...
"parting is such sweet sorrow"
please say it, though you know I will see you again tomorrow
our love may not be recognized,
but we both know it's there.
so what will you say when I leave,
totally destroying any hopes of fulfilling our lustful need
will you look back and wonder what could've been?
will you cry at the wasted hours in which we could not spend?
slowly, you feel the pain growing,
and you start to question what might have happened if only...
you stand in silence as you gaze at me
-leaving you
you may then realize that your fear has had it's way with you.
in despair, you feel a tear-
trickling down at my departure.
and what will you say when I leave,
totally destroying any chances of use fulfilling our loving need.
will you cry at the wasted hours in which we could not spend?
what's the famous saying...
"parting is such sweet sorrow"
... hell, why should you have to say it,
after all, you'll see me again tomorrow.
