Gantz is Going Live Action!!!

Masaru Kato will be played by Kenichi Matsuyama  (L) Yay!!!

This rocks!  One of my favorite animes is going live action!!  It's due to be released in Japan in the Spring of 2011!
The manga/anime is in general sort of gory and violent- geared more towards a male audience.  Basically, two friends supposedly get killed in a subway and wake up in a building with nothing but a black ball sitting in the middle of it.  The ball, known as Gantz, gives the "recenty deceased" team members a full suit of armor and weapons and sends them on missions to destroy aliens.  If they survive, then they are rewarded points according to how many kills they had  When they get to a certain amount of points, they get a wish.  It's bloody and very crude, but it raises a few good questions about human nature.  It's sort of warped, but it's really fun at the same time!!!

What really adds to the excitement of this for me is the fact that Kenichi Matsuyama, the guy who played L in the Death Note movies, has been casted as Kato!  My God!!! Someone pinch me and tell me I'm not dreaming!!! ^_^
