hating Visual studio
ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH my brain has turned to mush. I just had the worst programming workshop ever!!
5 hours staring at pages and pages of nonsense code. Who in their right mind would actually take programming for a degree? Honestly, I'm asking. Are any of you loons out there?
It's all guess work and temprmental. Sometimes you have to write scanf and sometimes scanf_s and why? No one knows! Sometimes your programme doesn't work for no logical reason, you ask the demonstrator and she tells you to try starting again, or switching computers - what kind of system is this???!?!
Basically we had a crazy day, we managed to write the first programme in about 15 mins, but it wasn't in the right format, so we then spent the next two hours trying to get it to work with the demonstrator (crazy foreign lady we can't understand) confusing us even more. She makes us re-write the code her crazy way which is not how we've been taught or the point of the exercise, then eventually tells us that it didn't matter about the format anyway we should have just left it as we first did it - ARGH. Then we still had to finish the other 3 assignments.
On a positive note I bought a new phone for £89 on ebay. Shiny shiny.
