Author's Note: It's been forever and a day since I wrote in Memoirs, and I'd forgotten how much I miss this dark little universe (granted, it's not as bad as, say, Bridges gets in spots, but still). The word count ended up around 950. This did not at all evolve as I anticipated, BTW.
Summary: For most of her life, Beth Lorne was a surprise to at least one of her parents.
