The weekend is coming to a close and I must say it has been a lovely one. My hiatus from drinking has actually done my mentality good, as I have been in one of the most fabulous moods for the last three weeks.
The snow on friday foiled my plans, as I had to cancel my trip to Elon on account that the people I was going to travel with backed out. Mary didnt feel comfortable with me flying alone during a snow storm. Upsetting, yes. But our classes were canceled and I got to spend the day relaxing. I slept through all my classes friday, probably not a very academical success, but still enjoyable.
Over the last few weeks Steve and I started a Wonderful World of Vodka club on facebook, even though i havent been doing a lot of drinking. It's hilarious and somewhat witty, bridging on perverted and gross. We invited the facebook king, Daniel Davis, and that advertised the club to many others, who in effect joined. We rule.
I got to eat at chilis on friday night, a disappointment, along with teh party we went to afterwards. But that didnt spoil my mood, because I slept in saturday and got to go out with Margo and her brother and her cousins for dinner at the Cheesecake factory. YUMMMYYYY plus i had fun with Margo. We were invalids trying to work the metro system, but managed to get there on time, only an hour and a half late. Her family is fun and crass, similar to mine but of a more northern dissent. We also had a lovely deep conversation, something I always enjoy.
this morning i had to interupt a fabulous dream to go to CSPAC to work on something for the diamondback. Now, I am writing stuff for the diamondback. Tonite, I am going to a meeting for the diamondback. Then, after the meeting, I am going to continue writing for the diamondback. Hopefully, after we turn in our feature for the diamondback, we will get published in.........
THE DIAMONDBACK. If my weekend were a TV show, that title would be in the corner of the screen. but thats okay, it hasnt been too bad. I am going to try to catch up in all my classes so im prepared for all the upcoming exams. I am not doing too bad this semester.
DOUG called me yesterday, very out of the blue. very cool though im glad we keep in touch. I also thoroughly appreciate his ability to call when i least expect and not call when im patiently waiting.
Nevertheless, I'm actually not in the ride MODE for writing, and im trying to write stuff for the article, and lifejournal always gets me in the mode. not sure why. anyway- peace be with you. BEAT IT
