I've seen what it can do to a person. Tearing the soul apart... It is a hurtful thing, which everyone is susceptible to.
Personally, I'm jealous of the fact that many of the people I know can walk out in the light of day (or even in the moon light for vampires) without having to hide their face. I'm considered a good demon, one who wouldn't harm a hair on the head of another, well not unless I was defending myself. Yet if I went for a walk down any street in LA without some sort of disguise on, people would panic. The only time that didn't happen was when Jasmine was here. Everyone was happy and accepting, but it wasn't real and once again, I have to hide.
