He shifted slightly on his stool to face the stranger a little more and gave a lower wattage grin in return. "I was on business, but the business is concluded. Now I'm just killing some time. Why do you ask?"

In spite of his father's disapproving face in the back of his mind, Dean let himself give his conversation companion a once-over. Younger than he usually let himself consider (they reminded him a little too much of his brother), but definitely easy on the eyes. "Name's Dean."

The name thing was a little awkward, but not a deal breaker. He dropped a couple fives on the bar to cover the drinks and the tip, then he turned back to Sam. "It's a pretty good gig. Lots of travel. Interesting people. What do you do?"

Okay, and he's a little ashamed.
"I... uh..." He clears his throat, accidentally clinking his teeth against the rim of the bottle. He quickly composes himself. "I'm someone who could show you a really good time." He smiles and reaches over to touch the ring on Dean's finger. "I noticed that when I first saw you over here."

Dean looked down at the touch and flexed his fingers a little under Sam's. Even though he kept it on his right hand, it still gave people pause now and then. "It makes a pretty good bottle opener and it irritates the hell out of people when I tap it on things. That's pretty much its two primary functions."

"Not far. A couple of blocks over. Place called the Caribbean Motel. Not exactly the classiest joint in town, I'm afraid." It had the most god-awful underwater motif, but at least it was clean. For Dean, that was a step up from the usual lodgings.
