HALLOWEEN
The season of the blinky lights and strobes.
Halloween...is not the friend of photosensitivity in epilepsy. I miss going outside for it but it is perhaps the most abusive holiday to my seizure issues so I am forced to be caged in for the night. I hate Halloween. Boo. Boo hoo.
I do NOT miss having seizures or seizure symptomology.
I really find it insanely insulting that I am made to feel like a 'party-pooper' cause I cannot go out to parties and such anymore that involve decorative lighting as such and that includes clubs. And it is very uncomfortable to constantly ask that lights of this kind be turned off.
I know I am not the only one but I am saying it aloud.
It has become much easier to just stay in and have cocoa.
And be with people who understand it without it becoming the elephant in the room and come up with other ways to do things.
Blinky lights did not exist the way they do today before 20+ yrs ago.
It's like living in the caveman erea.
Except fire/candles etc are problematic too.
*sigh*
