Been a quiet weekend alone, full of my chicken stew, some deep thinking, and now just made dinner.
Have I ever mentioned how much I love sardines?
Love does not describe the passion for them.
I just don't eat them often because i have found others around me don't like the smell that can waft through a home when the tin is opened.
So I look longingly at the King Oscar red tins I have and wait patiently for time alone.
So tonight I made:
Slight browned-crisped sauteed sardines in olive oil w/sweet onion, fresh garlic, and tomato, cilantro & fresh cracked pink/green/black peppercorns, over a small amount of brown rice. No salt.
I know most folks don't understand sardines but they are a stupendously delicious fish with unbelievable taste and potential not to mention terrific for you.
My tummy and spirits are immensely contented after tonight's dinner.
