okay Folks some help please?
Does True Blood is worth watching? i mean i heard some good things and some not so good, and to be honest i'm not one to begin watching something it's not for the whole thing.

SO, anyone thoughts?

I kind of really don't like True Blood, and yet...I watched both seasons. Granted, I fast-forwarded through quite a few bits. After watching Generation Kill, also from HBO, I decided that I love ASkars, so I watched True Blood mostly to see him in it. It's an interesting 'verse, at any rate.

Also, hey there, tattoo -- where is that pic from, if you don't mind my asking? Do you like GK too? ;)

yeah that's what i thought i'd do too. but when does he appear? :) and i don't mind, like yours the pic is From GK, i love that show. ;)

Well, he's only in a few episodes in Season 1. I think he pops up in the fourth episode then? I have to admit I can't quite remember the first season. But he's in it more in S2! The plot line with him in S2 is just lovely, I thought, but the other plot line is what I fast-forwarded through because it wasn't quite my cup of tea.

I think you'll enjoy seeing ASkars as Eric. He does some fun acting bits in there ;)

And YAY for GK! For some reason I thought I met you through The Pacific comm, but that's just me being addle-brained today, I suppose! Are you watching the show through HBO On Demand then? Or if you're planning on buying the series, I'd say watch S1 online and then nab S2 instead of both, maybe.

actually they began airing the show here in France, and i've a friend who recorded the eps, but i didn't want to start watching before i got advice, so i'll take your advice. watch few ep in S1 to know who's who and what it's about.(especially ASkars :)} then catch the S2 on line

i did it i watched y first eipsodes of True Blood. and to be honest if it wasn't for ASkars i wouldn't bother going on. And since i skiped some bits and pieces that bored me to tears or made me cringe, i don't understand some things like... who's Eric in the Community? And who's Eric for Bill? could you help me some more. :)

Hello hello!! I felt the exact same way you did -- the fast forward feature is very handy.

As for your questions: Eric is a 1,000-year-old vampire, so he's pretty ancient as far as vampires go, which means he's powerful strength-wise. Because of this, he's a Sheriff of a district. The vampires have queens and kings who rule over each state in the country, and beneath the kings and queens are sheriffs who are in charge of districts within each state. The area where Sookie lives is under Eric's jurisdiction.

In regard to Eric's relation to Bill -- Eric is kind of Bill's ruler in that Eric is in charge of the district Bill lives in.

Hopefully this all makes sense, but I ramble a lot ;) If you have any questions or need some clarification, please just let me know! It's fun chatting about stuff! I can't WAIT until you reach the fun Eric bits haha!

glad to see i'm not the only one who thinks that a vampire's show should not be cheesy! thanks for the explanation, i didn't watch more because i don't have time but the bits of Eric i saw... not fun... he is scary. that is a real vampire! lol. i can't wait to see the fun bits too. i don't mind the rambling i often do the same.

when he just stares... damn! nearly pissed myself. and yeah the long hair is odd, and the fact that he is so pale... but, well, it's ASkars so... he's still handsome

Couldn't have said it better myself! He wears a leather jacket at one point in S2 -- I maybe sighed all fangirlish-ly when I saw him in that. ;)
