As promised, my opinion on Anna Karenina. In short, I liked the movie. Vronskiy looks like an ideal man. Jude Law as Karenin is impressive. The movie is a purely theatrical, conventional work. That's why, maybe, I wasn't as touched as by Pride and Prejudice along the same line. But the authors clearly did their homework well. And I left the theater enlightened (btw the audience applauded like in an actual theatre), and that is all that really matters. The only thing that kinda disturbed me was surprisingly the Russian voice. Will have to re-watch it in English. And definitely will have to re-read the novel now.
Анна Каренина - это любовь, о которой мечтаешь и которой боишься.
