I don't get some people's views on the world. Yes, helping one person at a time won't change the world, but it will change that one person's world, that's what matters. If I had the chance to know that I could make a difference in someone's life, I would jump at it in a heart beat. Everyone is entitled to a helping hand, from your next door neighbor to starving children in a third world country. The state of some nations in the world is sad, sad because we live here in the US in our nice houses with our computers and cable tv and hot water, and electricity. Now I'm not saying that the US is horrible for having this, but people in the United States who do not realize the gifts that they have been given and refuse to share those gifts with people who are less fortunate are pathetic. I'm not a person for just giving money to a charity either. I think that's the pussy way out. A person's time and caring and love is worth so much more than their money. This is why I look forward to travelling the world at some point in my life and seeing what the world is like outside of our bubbles here at home. I have been fortunate to travel many places, but no place where life was that much different from here. I want to go to Africa and India and weird places in the South Pacific. I want too see human suffering first hand and be able to help. This is one of my dreams in life, a dream that very few people know about. I guess it can be linked to my love of children. Whenever children are involved it makes a situation more emotional, and the fact that there are starving orphans in places of the world who are lonely right now, makes me sad. I want to be able to make a difference in atleast one of those children's lives first hand. If you know someone like me, please support them.
OK done with my rant for the night, bet you didn't know i had that side to me
So tory was telling me i should put quixotic as my mood just because we thought it sounded fun and we didn't know what it meant, but then i looked it up and it actually does kind of fit. However, I do not want to label myself as quixotic, but you should look it up.... good word.
