Wii Fit - Day 6
The Wii Fit continutes to be great fun. We had several visitors over the weekend who all got to try it out. Everyone who tries it so far has wanted one. Even tired from gardening at Kathy's dad's yesterday and stuffed from a great meal at Macaroni Grill (sorry, Weight Watchers, we were bad...), we ended up putting on more than two hours on the Wii Sunday evening (not just Kathy and I, but also our friends Jin and Aquila). Technically it was more but some of the minutes fell into today because it was after midnight before we quit. I have a good habit of taking Ibuprofen prior to going to bed after a long day of gardening and I definitely needed it with the extra slaloming, snowboarding and other Wii Fit exercises. Woke up sore a few times in the night when I needed to roll over.
Remodeling Plans
As many people know, we're looking to do some serious remodeling on our house. We're still getting RMLS listings and looking at them with open minds but so far haven't seen anything to get us too excited. I'm especially wary of taking on two mortgages in today's financially scary times, because, of course, now is NOT the right time to sell a house but would be a great time to buy. If only we were rich.... Anyway, we're inching closer to the remodeling becoming a go. The planning process is, of course, very necessary but I'm always eager to leap in with both feet. There are so many possibilities, I feel sorry for our contractor/builder/overseer (can't think of what her official "title" is) because I'm sure my many different ideas are making her wonder just how realistic we are. And we are realistic, honest. Just I'm a "toss all the ideas in the air and see which ones float to the top" person. Unfortunately, Kathy can only take so much of that before she zones out on me. So it will definitely be good to get concrete plans (and a fairly realistic budget plan) so I can calm down on the brainstorming.
