Dude, fucking bummer. Thrice had their shit taken. All instruments=gone. Like Tep's les paul, the rhodes, ri's fucking custom drum kit... their blog post said the bandits literally took a broom and dust pan and swept the place clean. That might have cut down on evidence, but it also speaks to the finality of the deed and the resolution of the deeders. That's a word. Anyways, I'm pretty sure there's a better time to rob someone that doesn't involve already grieving victims.
