Yes, there's sort of a test. The Bishop asks you questions like 'what are the seven sacraments?' and 'what are the gifts of the holy spirit?' etc.
You're supposed to know them *shurg*. If you're getting confirmed, you'll have to do this to, it's not a one-church thing, it's everybody.
