DRO part two
Well... tonight hasnt gone as smoothly as planned.. but what night does???
Anyway... found out one of the scales I bought from the Dayton Hamvention was not working right. And of course it was the important one..
BUT...
being the smart vixen I am (*caugh*bs*caugh*) I bought 3 of them, in case one was bad. well.. they are of differing lengths, but all with the same optical pickup. so I dissasembled one and replaced the optical sensor in the one that was failing.
I gotta say... these things are impressive inside!! German manufactured and the quality is clear to see! I dont doubt these things were every bit of 500 bucks a piece new. 20uM resolution, which will be good enough for my needs.
I think these things came out of a pick and place machine.
ANNnyway.... I am going to bed early.... I will have the slides mounted tomorrow, and be ready for doing real work.... (i hope)
