Some people dream about work. Some people, apparently, dream about someone I'm obsessing about even though said dreamers have never met the person in question. And some people's dreams are neither as pedestrian as work or so strange as to be about someone else's crush, but are instead about teaching trigonometry.
Yes, that's right. Trigonometry. Now, some of you know that I work as a programmer (er, "developer") at the evil empire (when I work). And it is true that I have occasion to use math (mostly to count my ill gotten gains, occasionally to figure out how much to tip the little people), but I haven't had any occasion to use trig in years. Not even when I was attempting to match similar triangles given a set of points on two images in the hopes of registering those images closely enough to do false coloring based on RGB filtered shots from a telescope. That's just a lot of algebra. Have I lost you? Wait, let me go and get the code, I'll show you.
What? No, really, you don't have to go. This will be fun. I promise.
Damn. I lose more friends that way than I can count.
