Weekend
Yesterday I went wedding dress shopping with the mother-in-law and after the usual rounds with snooty bitches and whatnot (I've been wedding dress shopping about half a dozen times now for various brides, including myself at one stage, and there's always ONE snooty bitch. Always!) we found a lovely dress that fit the bill exactly!! Hurrah! Then we went and had lunch together and that was lovely too. I think it's the only time I've spent one-on-one with her so it was special.
Then i picked up the girls from mum's house, headed home to cook dinner and watch a dvd with Matt and then be up half the night with Ashley, who seems to have had some 48hr thng. She was out of sorts on Friday night but fine Saturday morning so i thought it was a teething episode but Saturday night she was unwell too. Hot, cranky, kept startling awake and whimpering in her sleep.
Today we were going to do the xmas pageant then go swimming but with Matt and I working off maybe 3 hrs sleep (Ashley slept in our bed), Ashley being unwell and the weather looking dodgy, we decided to stay home and do house stuff instead. Matt has finished the whole backyard (with Bella's help) so now all that's left is to roll some lawn on to the soil and crank up the bbq!! (and pretend we know nothing about the 30-odd wheelbarrows of sand, weeds and building materials out the front *whistles* lol). I didn't get much house stuff done because I was cradling Ashley most of the day. I didn't want to take her to the Drs and have to expose her to a waiting room full of sick people for several hours, especially if it was just teething. It was also FIL's bday so we called him and Bella sang Happy Birthday. Then Matt had to go pick up his BFF from work coz his car had broken down. As of about 6pm Ashley was a changed baby, back to her usual self. Laughing, ticklish, no temperature, no whining. Went down to sleep like usual *fingers crossed* she's well again.
Tomorrow is the playgroup xmas party which is a bit of a shambles. Oh well! The girls will have fun... but I need to go buy 2 x Chrissie presents for it first, and party food! Whoops!
So I'd better chuff off to bed. Night all xx
